Founded by Hollywood makeup and special effects artist Christien Tinsley, Tinsley Transfers was born out of necessity while working on Pearl Harbor. While working on approximately 40 extras that required multiple wounds and burn effects on various parts of their bodies daily, Christien realized the need for a quick, timesaving tool to create such effects. So, he created easy to apply transfers with an emphasis on the continuity of the effects. Over the years, Christien’s vision and insights have led his work to be artfully displayed on big names gracing the big screen. Matt Damon, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Christina Ricci, Kate Beckinsale, John Travolta, Jim Caviezel ,Vin Diesel, Hugh Jackman and Josh Hartnett, to name a few, have all appeared on film wearing Christien’s makeup creations.
