We received a call from our alarm company saying the shop sensors had been activated by a possible intruder. We were five minutes away from the shop and we receive a phonecall from a police officer at the scene, nice chap, just wanted to forewarn us that what we were going to arrive to was not a pretty sight….he was right 🙁
As you can see from the photos below the front of the shop was almost devastated by stolen car that had lost control, driven by joy riders. The gable end of the building had been demolished. It housed both the main electrics plus the gas supply to the property so all had to be turned off.
Thanks to Alan Rogers (a local builder) the structure was made safe and his electrician arrived the same day to get the power back on 🙂 Although without a gas supply or shop frontage, we lost only one days trade.
Not what you need during the busiest week in the party calendar.
